You earn more entries by buying more units, by buying higher priced items, by choosing items that earn at a higher rate, by reaching a cart subtotal tier, by applying a bonus entry code, or by buying a Fast Track pass. Those are the ways to earn more on an order. There is also a free mail-in route: no purchase is necessary to enter or win, and the Official Rules give the method. No number of entries guarantees a win.
- Entries are calculated from the listed price per unit, multiplied by the quantity you buy.
- A discount code lowers what you pay. It never lowers your entries.
- Tax and shipping never earn entries.
- If the whole dollar part of a price ends in 9, it counts as the next dollar up.
- The per unit figure is rounded to the nearest whole entry, then multiplied by the quantity.
- Entries are recorded when the order is paid, not when it ships. The rates are frozen at the moment you place the order.
Order size, item choice and cart subtotal tiers
The plainest way to earn more is to buy more units, or to buy an item with a higher listed price. Item choice matters on its own too. Some products earn at a higher rate than their price alone would suggest, so the dearer of two items does not always earn more. Every product page and product card shows the entries that item earns, so check there rather than working it out from the price. On top of that, your cart subtotal can unlock tiers that add entries to the order. The cart drawer shows where your subtotal currently sits and what the next tier adds, so you can see the effect before you pay. We keep the current thresholds in the cart rather than in this article, because they change.
Bonus entry codes
One bonus entry code applies per order. If more than one could apply, the system picks the one that earns you the most, automatically. You do not have to work it out yourself. A bonus code can multiply that order's entries, add a flat amount, or both, and the cart shows the effect before you pay. The Official Rules set the limit on how many entries one person can hold across a giveaway.
Fast Track passes
A Fast Track pass is a one time digital purchase that earns entries on its own price, the same way a physical item does. A pass bought on its own is digital, so nothing ships. It is not a membership and it is not a subscription. Buying one does not put you on a plan and does not give you ongoing status. SHFTD does not sell a membership product of any kind.
The free mail-in route
You can enter without buying anything. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A free mail-in route exists, and the Official Rules give the exact method, the address and the timing you have to follow. We do not repeat those details here, because your entry only counts if it matches the Official Rules exactly. Read them there before you send anything.
None of this guarantees a win
More entries improve your odds. They do not guarantee a result. Every entry awarded is kept in a permanent record, and the result is published after the draw. Entries are never removed once awarded, including after a size exchange. To see what you hold, sign in at account.shftdco.com and open My Entries from the side navigation, using the same email address as your order. Your odds appear there once you hold entries.
