Read the Official Rules before you mail anything. They give the mailing address, exactly how the entry has to be written and presented, the deadline for it to count, and what a mailed entry is worth. We do not repeat those details here on purpose, because a summary that drifts out of date could cost someone a valid entry. If anything on this page ever disagrees with the Official Rules, the Official Rules are what count.
Entries are never taken back
Once an entry has been awarded it stays awarded. There is no mechanism to remove entries, and that applies to us as much as to anyone else. Entries earned by an order are recorded permanently.

How the winner is picked
Before a giveaway opens we publish the digital fingerprint of a secret number, and we name in advance the exact future pulse of drand, a public randomness beacon run by independent organizations, that the draw is forced to use. That pulse fires shortly after entries close and its value cannot be known ahead of time, so neither entrants nor we can steer the result. The draw runs live, and the full result is published afterwards so it can be checked.
How odds work
Your odds are the entries you hold divided by every entry in the pool. You can read that as a percentage, or as roughly one chance in however many. The pool keeps growing while a giveaway is open, so everyone's odds move until entries close. What a mailed entry is worth toward that total is set out in the Official Rules.
Good odds are still not a win
No number of entries guarantees anything. A large share of the pool loses more often than people expect, and a small share is still a live chance. That is worth knowing before you spend anything, and it is the point of the free route.
Questions, or an entry you cannot find
Email support@shftdco.com and we reply within 24 hours. Check the Official Rules first, since they are the authority on the free entry method. If you also place an order, the entries from that order appear in your account at account.shftdco.com under My Entries once payment clears, not when the order ships. Sign in with the same email address you used on the order, or those entries will not show.
