Read the fit note on the size chart for the piece you are looking at. It is the single most useful line on the page, and it changes from garment to garment.
Every piece is unisex
Our garments are cut unisex. There is no separate women's cut and no separate men's cut.
That does not mean they fit everyone the same way. What it means is that you should ignore any assumption about sizing up or down by gender and go by the laid flat measurements instead. Take a garment you already own that fits how you want, measure it flat, and match it to the chart. That works regardless of who you are.
The cuts we sell run differently
- Our current heavyweight tee is boxy and runs a touch small. If you are between sizes, or you want more room, size up.
- The hoodie is a regular fit. Between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
- The tank fits true to size. Between sizes, size up.
- The joggers fit true to size with a relaxed taper. Between sizes, size up.
The fit note on each chart is the authority for the piece in front of you, because blanks change and this page cannot follow every one of them.
Between sizes
Size up. That is the recommendation on every chart we publish, and it is the more forgiving mistake on a heavyweight cotton piece.
Sizes we actually sell
Tees and hoodies run S to 2XL. The tank and the joggers run S to L, and that is a limit of the blank rather than a stock gap.
If a size is missing from the selector on a product page, it is not currently available. Sizes come back with restocks, but a piece marked FINAL RUN is not being made again.
Heavyweight is not the same as oversized
A heavier garment holds its shape rather than draping. That reads as boxier on the body even at the same measurements. If you want a genuinely oversized look, go up rather than assuming the weight will do it for you.
Washing does not fix a fit
Cold wash and hang dry are what keep a piece the size it arrived. Do not order a size down expecting shrinkage to close the gap, and do not put a piece through a hot dry hoping to shrink it. Heat is also what damages a print.
Once a piece has been worn or washed we cannot exchange it for a different size, so try it on before anything else and keep the tags on until you are sure.
If you want to ask first
Use the contact form at shftdco.com/pages/contact. Tell us the piece, the size you are considering, and the measurements of something you own that fits well. We reply within 24 hours and we would much rather answer before you order than arrange an exchange after.
If the size is wrong when it arrives
You have 30 days from receiving your order to ask for a size exchange, subject to availability. The piece has to be unworn, unwashed and in its original condition with tags attached. You cover sending it back and we cover sending the replacement out. Your entries are untouched.
